Description
View of buildings at Nutria pueblo, a Zuni 'outpost or summer resort', with a large decorated pot on the ground in the foreground. According to James Stevenson's original note for this photograph (prepared circa 1885), Nutria 'is within the limits of [the Zuni's] reservation, and as the range is a good one and the water of the Nutria springs can be readily taken out for purposes of irrigation, the Zunis repair hither in the spring for the purpose of pasturing their herds or raising small patches of wheat.'

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
