Description
View of locals at a suq (market) in the city of Sharjah. Two boys stand in the far left foreground. Behind them, four men stand facing an 'arish hut and a fence made of palm fronds. In the centre many men and boys stand at the entrance to the market, which is covered by a large high canopy, looking towards the camera. Beside them a man in a T-shirt and wraparound skirt walks past, carrying a woven basket. In the background number of people walk into the covered market.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
