Description

Seated portrait of a sheikh from one of the Shahra tribes in the Jabal Qara mountains. The young man kneels in a field of grass, gazing towards the right. He is holding a stick and his long curly hair is tied with a long length of leather. In the background a vast field of grass grows.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
