Description

Portrait of a Bedouin family riding camels in the region surrounding the town of Al Hufuf, taken during Wilfred Thesiger's journey from Al Hofuf to Ar Rumhiya wells. On the left a man and a boy ride a large black camel, while on the right an older boy rides alone on a small grey camel. In the distance beyond sparse tufts of vegetation dot a vast flat plain.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
