Description

Portrait of a man beside a dhow (sailboat) on the shore in Manama on Bahrain Island. An elderly man wearing a long black cloak over his thobe (long shirt) stands on the right in front of bagged cargo and a pile of firewood. Beside him a dhow covered with a cloth shade canopy is docked along the shore, while in front of it on the left a few more bags of cargo sit. In the distant background the bay is visible behind the masts of the dhow.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
