View of Wilfred Thesiger's party in Al Humrah sands during their journey to Umm az Zumul. In the foreground a large abal (Calligonum comosum) grows in the sand. In the far distance two of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions trek across an expanse of sand, heading towards a vast white sabkha (salt flat) lying beyond the dunes.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
