Description

View of Wilfred Thesiger's party travelling in Al Khatam or Al Humrah sands south of Al Ain. In the left foreground a bare bush sticks out of the sand. In the near right distance a man walks along with three camels, one of which is eating from a bush. Further beyond three more of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin travelling companions trek across rolling sands, heading towards low rolling downs dotted with vegetation in the background. In the far distance another ridge of high dunes stretches out along the horizon below a vast cloudless sky.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
