Description

Seated portrait of a Bedouin tribesman at Sheikh Zayid bin Sultan Al Nahyan's hunting camp in Al Khatam sands near Al Ain. A middle-aged man with a thick dark beard kneels in soft sand with his hands resting in his lap. His body faces towards the near left, while he looks directly into the central foreground. He wears a plain ghutra (headscarf) draped over his head and chest and a worn thobe (long shirt). A camel stick lies in the sand in front of his knee. Behind him some bushes grow in the sand.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
