View of Wilfred Thesiger's party trekking through the Al Qafa' or As Saruq region north of Liwa oasis. The party, made up of tribesmen of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, leads camels on foot across a vast open area bare of vegetation. The men head towards an immense crescent-shaped dune. The dune is dotted with many large salt bushes where its slopes meet the open sand.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
