Description

Wilfred Thesiger's party hauling water from a well in the Wadi al 'Ayn. On the right Hamad [also known as Hamad al Mahri], a tribesman of the Mahra Bedouin, lifts a leather bag of water out of a well. Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, stands in the near left, behind Hamad, holding on to a rope attached to Hamad's water bag. Behind them other members of the party are also getting water from the well.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
