Description

View of multi-storeyed buildings at Shongopavi pueblo on Second Mesa, with a person standing on a roof in the foreground. According to an original note by James Stevenson (prepared circa 1885), Shongopavi 'is located on the point of a mesa which projects out into the plain. The photograph shows the greater portion of the village, also the interior court around which the houses are built.'

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
