View of buildings at Sichomovi pueblo on First Mesa, with a laden donkey (burro) in the foreground. According to James Stevenson's original note for this photograph (prepared circa 1885), Sichomovi '[i]s the middle village on the summit of the same mesa with W[a]lpi and Tewa. The people of this village belong to the Shoshonan family and are identical in all respects with W[a]lpi. Their village, however, is less characteristic of the typical terraced formed pueblos, the houses only reaching two stories in height.'

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
