Description

View of Wilfred Thesiger's party at a well in the plains below Hamrat ad Duru, during the party's journey from Masruq well to Al Hubi village. Members of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin travelling party and two camels group around a well, watching while a few members of the party dig out the well. Muhammad bin Al Jabari, a tribesman of the Awamir Bedouin, crouches on the ground to the far right of the group. In the distance beyond a vast sand flat stretches uninterrupted into the far distance.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
