View of Wilfred Thesiger's party trekking across dunes in Al Khatam or Al Humrah sands south of Al Ain. In the near right foreground two large hadh (Cornulaca monacantha) bushes grow in the sand. In the distance beyond Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions walk with their camels in a line across an expanse of sand, heading into the distance. In the far distance the crests of far dunes sit along the horizon below a vast cloudless sky.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
