Description

Profile portrait of one of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling companions riding a camel in the vicinity of the Ramlat Unayq, near the Dhahir mountains north of Al Ain. The party is travelling from Al Ain to Jabal Sumeini. Clumps of vegetation grow in the sand in the foreground. In the near distance a man riding a camel pauses on a low mound of sand. In the far distance beyond rocky mountains rise along the horizon.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
