Description
View of dunes in Al Batin sands in the Empty Quarter (Rub' al Khali). In the central foreground a low ridge is marked by a large, healthy looking bush on its crest. Beyond the near ridge, a bare dune slope rises in ridges to the right. In the distance beyond a salt flat (sabkha), dotted with a few sparse areas of vegetation, sits between the dunes. Beyond the salt-flat more wind-rippled dunes, dotted with sparse points of vegetation, run along the horizon.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
